Indian actress strangles 17 year old daughter, then commits suicide

An aspiring TV actress Pradnya Parkar allegedly killed her 17-year-old daughter Shruti by suffocating her and later hanged herself at their Kalwa residence in Mumbai’s Thane. She, however, left a suicide note.


The suicide note purportedly written by Pradnya stated that she was under extreme stress and hence killed her daughter Shruti and was going to kill herself too. According to reports, Parkar, who worked in the Marathi TV industry, was not getting much work these days and her husband too was facing major financial crunch.

According to Indian Times, her daughter Shruti was an HSC student at a Thane college and she had also come to find out that her husband was having an affair.
