See photos of a newborn baby born with his intestines outside his body in Cross River state

The photo above is that of a baby delivered in Bashua community, Boki Local Government Area of Cross River state with his intestine outside his body.

The child, according to report suffers from a rare birth defect called "gastroschisis'' where the abdominal wall does not form correctly. 

The baby was born with his intestines found outside of his body connecting through a hole beside the belly button.
