Lightning kills Herdsman and 19 Buffaloes in Indonesia

Earlier today, lightning reportedly killed a shepherd and 19 buffaloes in Indonesia’s North Sumatra province.


According to local report, Police said Sinto Habeyan, 23, was lighting a bonfire in a cattle barn in the Central Tapanuli district in the late hours of Monday , 19 August when lightning struck amid heavy rain and killed Habeyan and the 19 buffaloes.

Confirming the incident, the district police chief Sukamat said, “We never had an incident like this before in this area.”
