A 19 year old girl has been reportedly freed from her parents after allegedly being kept locked up for nine years. The Sun report.
The girl is said to have been taken out of school when she was just nine years old with her parents saying they wanted to home school her. But neighbours told police they were concerned for the welfare of the girl at the home in Tenterden, Kent.
The girl is said to have special needs and had not been seen since she was pulled out of school.
"The girl was in a distressed state when she was found and has been taken into care. She is receiving physical and psychiatric help. ‘But there are a lot of questions being asked over how it could have happened. It is hard to comprehend how it could happen. A source said.
"Kent Police were called at 2.34pm on Thursday, August 22 with reports of concern for the welfare of a 19-year-old individual at an address in Tenterden. The police report.
The Police and local authorities are currently investigating the case.
