"I'm honoured that they still sought to partner with me after all this time" Banky W to Samsung

Olubankole Wellington says he is honoured that Samsung still sought to partner with him after he left them to pursue his political career which he lost to his opponent, the All Progressive Party candidate, Ibrahim Obanikoro.

He said "I went from a 7 year working relationship with @samsung_nigeria, to sacrificing that deal (and all my other corporate endorsement deals) to run for office... to now coming full circle back to helping them launch the new Note 10 phone series. In an era where most endorsement deals last a year or two, I'm honoured that they still sought to partner with me after all this time.

"There's something to be said here for stability, consistency and longevity by God's grace. There's a lesson here about not burning bridges behind you, because you never know if you'll want to cross them again."

He also added that seeking to add values rather then just showing up to take pictures for endorsement is what has kept him this far.

"There's also a lesson here about seeking to add value and not be penny-wise and pound-foolish... if all you bring to the table is showing up when they call you to take a picture for a billboard, they can replace you the next year with a better face, or a newer voice. Know your worth and charge for it. But also, prove your worth by the results, added value and impact you bring to the operation.

"With that being said, I'm honoured to announce to you that preorders for the Note 10/10+ are now on in Nigeria until Sept 6th. The Note is my favourite phone series of ALL TIME. And this release is INCREDIBLE. And if you pre order, you get free Galaxy ear buds worth 45k, and a 100% discount Screen repair until Dec 31st."

On November 11, 2018, Banky W declared his intention to run for the Lagos' Eti-Osa Federal Constituency seat in Nigeria's House of Representatives, under the platform of Modern Democratic Party, formed the year before.
On February 23rd, 2019, he however, lost the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency Elections to Babajide Obanikoro of the All Progressive Congress.[10]
