A 50-year-old man identified as Amadu Usman has been arrested by men of the Osun State Police Command for allegedly stealing 46 cows in Osun.
According to reports, Ismaila was said to have conspired with others still at large to perpetrate the crime in the Capital area of Osogbo and he has been charged to court on two counts of conspiracy and stealing.
The cows reportedly belongs to one Afolabi Babatunde and valued at N4.5m.
Usman pleaded not guilty to the charges.
His counsel, Okobe Najite, made an oral application for his bail, but Magistrate Risikat Olayemi directed him to file a written application.
Olayemi ordered that the accused be remanded in the Ilesa Correctional Centre pending the filing of the formal bail application.
She adjourned the case till December 6, 2019, for hearing.
