86-year-old man pushed to his death while separating his son and neighbor fighting in Ondo

An 86-year-old man identified as Umoru Samuel, was pushed to his death while trying to separate his son and a neighbour who were fighting in Okeagbe Akoko community in Akoko North West local government area of Ondo state yesterday October 19th. 

According to eyewitnesses, Pa Samuel heard his son and the neighbor, Leye Rufus, fighting and made his way outside to seperate them. Sadly, as he tried to stop the fight, Leye allegedly pushed him and he fell flat on his face.  He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was certified dead on arrival.

Confirming the incident, the Area Commander of Ikare unit of the Ondo State police command, Razak Rauf, said Leye has been arrested by police while investigation has begun into the matter.
