Actor Miguel cervantes's 3-year-old daughter dies after battle with Epilepsy

Hamilton actor Miguel Cervantes and his wife Kelly are quietly preparing to say goodbye to their 3-year-old daughter Adelaide after a long battle with epilepsy.

Miguel, 42, and his wife Kelly, 37 in a statement wrote: "The Cervantes family is heartbroken to announce that their baby girl Adelaide Grace - who battled epilepsy and Infantile Spasms - tragically died early Saturday, October 12, 2019.

According to the People Online, Adelaide, whose fourth birthday is next week, experienced her first seizure when she was 7 months old.

Kelly shared an image of the late child's room with a powerful message in memory of her daughter: 'The machines are off. Her bed is empty. The quiet is deafening. Miss Adelaide Grace left us early Saturday morning.

In sympathising with the family, the organization Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy, or CURE, wrote in a statement, “Our hearts are heavy tonight with the news of Adelaide Cervantes’ passing. In her short life, Adelaide did so much to bring attention to a disease we should be much closer to curing. No child should have to suffer this way.

"No parent should have to sit by helplessly and simply watch as epilepsy takes a devastating toll on their child. Kelly and Miguel have inspired all of us. They have brought light to our CURE family, despite their struggles, their pain, and this most devastating loss. Sweet Adelaide will be missed by so many, but her legacy will live on.”
