One killed, seven students injured in Bauchi-Jos road crash



One person has been reportedly killed in a road crash along Bauchi-Jos road in Miri Village, an outskirt of Bauchi metropolis, following an head on collision between a commercial Vectra and Sharon car.

The incident, which occurred on Monday, also left seven students of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi severely injured.
The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Bauchi Sector Command, Rilwan Sulaiman, confirmed the incident.
He said the Sharon was conveying students of ATBU to Bauchi before colliding with the coming empty Vectra, which left the seven students injured while the driver of Vectra died on the spot.
He informed road safety personnel moved swiftly to the scene to rescue the injured passengers.
He said the corpse of the deceased has been deposited at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital.
