#Xenophobia: Tiwa Savage cancels South African performance



Tiwa Savage earlier today, Wednesday September 4th said that she would no longer be performing at a festival scheduled to hold in Johannesburg, South Africa, by September 21st.

She made this known via her verified Twitter handle.
The veteran singer describes the attack on Nigerians and other nationals in South Africa as “sick” and said that was the reason, she would not be participating in the festival sponsored by South Africa-owned firm, DSTV.
She tweeted, “I refuse to watch the barbaric butchering of my people in SA. This is SICK. For this reason, I will NOT be performing at the upcoming DSTV delicious Festival in Johannesburg on the 21st of September. My prayers are with all the victims and families affected by this.”
